Welcome to Palmetto Pride Savannah Cats. We are a TICA Registered cattery located in South Carolina. Our breeding program is Savannah to Savannah cat only. At this time we are producing third generation Savannahs.
Our goal is to produce Savannah cats of exceptional quality for cat lovers! Savannah cats are exciting pets and certain generations can be shown at cat shows. Our cats will conform to the Savannah Breed Standard offering beautiful Savannah features and loving personalities.
If you are looking for a Savannah Cat you’ll want a cat with the best features that the Breed Standard calls for. Below we’ve listed some of the features that we find most important and appealing as described in the TICA Savannah Breed Standard.
Body-Legs are very long and slender. Back legs are slightly longer than the front legs. Hip and thigh are full and long and somewhat heavy in proportion. Feet are oval, small to medium, with elongated toes. Tail is medium length and thickness tapering slightly to a blunt end.
Head-The shape of the face forms an equilateral triangle. The top of the triangle is the brow line over the eyes; the sides follow down the jaw bone meeting at the chin. The ears are large and high on the head; wide with a deep base and rounded tips. The top of the eye resembles a boomerang. The eyes are set directly underneath a slightly hooded brow. Tear stain markings are present along and between the eye and the nose. The profile of the chin is very shallow without much depth. Neck is always long and lean.
Coloring-Black, brown spotted tabby, silver spotted tabby and black smoke. The only color variations allowed are the gold to orange ground color with bold dark markings, solid black and black smoke. In any variation the lips are black just as the tear markings. Nose leather can be either brick red, solid black, or black with a light red or pink line running down the center. Paw pads on all color variations must be deep charcoal or brownish black. The spotted Savannah pattern is bold, dark-brown to black with round, oval and elongated spots. A series of parallel stripes runs from the back of the head to just over the shoulder blades and continues down the length of the body.
